Important Information:
• We are going to finish up our research presentations early this week. Then on Wednesday, May 20 we will have our team Research Fair during 8th and 9th period. Students will be able to see every student on our team’s research board and they will be able to ask questions of their peers. We will also vote for the best boards at this time!
• We have our third lit circle meetings this week! Please be sure to keep up with your reading and packet work- the lit circles are meeting on different days so you need to know your schedule! Remember you must have your packet 100% complete and your book in class with you in order to participate. (Code Talker- remember that you are having your lit circle on Thursday during 8th period because of our research fair).
• We are starting a final lit circle project this week. Students can work individually or with one partner from their lit circle group. Students will get all requirements on Monday. The final project is due on Monday, June 1.
• The FINAL reading log is due on Tuesday, May 19! WOO!
• Congratulations to Sargron and Martinez for advancing on to the 6th grade spelling bee! It will be on June 1st during periods 1-3. GOOD LUCK!!!

Homework: Your reading log is due TOMORROW! You must have parent signatures on your reading log or I will not accept it. Even though we are not done with our Lit Circle books I will allow you to count it because this is our last reading log of the year!

Tuesday, May 19 (TWIN DAY)
Shabanu Literature Circles Meeting 8th Period
Turn in Reading Logs
Finish Research Presentations- if necessary
Sentence Diagramming: Complements- Direct Objects (pages 20-21)

Homework: Work on Lit Circles. Code Talker- remember you are not meeting until Thursday this week.

Wednesday, May 20 (DODGEBALL DAY)
Research Fair

Homework: Work on Lit Circles. Code Talker Lit Circles meets TOMORROW. Remember you must have your packet 100% complete and your book in class with you in order to participate.

Thursday, May 21 (SUNGLASSES DAY)
Code Talker Literature Circle 8th Period (lit circle work time for everyone else)
Sentence Diagramming: Complements- Indirect Objects (pages 22-23)
